The Treacherous Net / Helene Tursten / 306 pages

Set in Goteborg, Sweden, The Treacherous Net is actually two simultaneous investigations.  One involves two young girls found in the woods, naked,  horrible scarred, and wearing parts of the same lingerie set.  Second, a mummified body has been discovered bricked up in a chimney at a demolition site.  To these catastrophies, add the city's ongoing gang violence, and "a sexy supervisor" and you have the makings for a most unusual investigation by detective Irene Hunt.  This cautionary tale is about the "shadowy world of online predators and insecure teenage girls on a deadly quest for affirmation."
