Mrs. Pollifax, Innocent Tourist / Dorothy Gilman / 203 pages / Action Adventure Set in Another Country Sept. Challenge

What a most excellent excursion into the volatile Middle East, including wonderful first hand accounts of Petra in Jordan.  The inimitable Mrs. Pollifax, a grandmotherly agent for the CIA, agrees to accompany an old CIA friend, Farrell, to collect an inflammatory manuscript smuggled out of Iraq into Jordan.  Before the plane even lands, Mrs. P is utilized by nefarious elements who complicate and energize the plot.  Oh, Mrs. Pollifax, if only all senior citizens had your skills, your knowledge, and your luck!!  Great surprise ending!!
