The Truth About Alice / Jennifer Mathieu / 199 pages / Oct.-Nov. Challenge Scary

This is an excellent testament to the incendiary power of rumors, gossip, and bathroom stall graffiti.  Poor Alice is maliciously maligned, ostracized, and treated as a slutty nonperson.  She is accused of sleeping with 2 guys at the same party and causing the death of one of the school jocks through texting.  Even her best friend participates...and she has secrets she wants no one to know.
