Not Another New Year's / Christie Ridgeway / 373 pages / December Challenge Winter Holidays

Hannah Davis had been training wild beasts every day for the past six years.  As a second grade teacher at Harold Mott Elementary School in rural northern California, she could size up the opposition pretty darn quick.  She had taken this ten day vacation to exotic Coronado Island, across from San Diego, for an adventure, but, in reality, to recover from her two-timing, jilting fiancé.  Upon arrival at the airport, her luggage, her purse, ID, and money are stolen as she attempted to calm an upset toddler.  With no resources, her only recourse was to go to a bar called Hart's where a friend of her uncle worked.  It was her fault that she was sizing up the beautiful, spoiled stranger, while twins plied her with too many mojitos.  She was rescued by the bar owner's brother, Tanner.  Tanner had lost his job with the Secret Service when a colleague was killed and another lost an eye in an assassination attempt.  Tanner had been kissed by the princess daughter of the assassination target.  He blames himself for the injuries to his colleagues and is being stalked by Desiree, the princess.  Multiple romances frequent this book, with graphic sex scenes and numerous cliché-ridden passages.
