The Absolute Death / Neil Gaiman / 360 pages / Gaiman Challenge

This coffee table sized book is an adult graphic novel.  Perhaps because of the size of the book, the print was much easier to read than most graphic novels.  In it we find a young boy who is on the verge of committing suicide encounter Death personified in a young, beautiful girl named Didi.  "One day in every century Death takes on mortal flesh, better to comprehend what the lives she takes must feel like, to taste the bitter tang of mortality."  The artwork is mesmerizing.  The story is fascinating, clever, and creative.  The post story portion of the book shows Death in her various incarnations.
