Boundary Lines / Nora Roberts / 285 pages / 8 Maids a Milking December Challenge

Twenty-five year old Jillian Baron is determined to turn Utopia into the best ranch in Montana.  She'd inherited the ranch from her grandfather when her doctor father and her brother showed no interest in it.  Baron land butts up to Murdock land and two families have never gotten along.  She is equally determined to avoid being attracted to Aaron Murdock.  She'd learned five years ago that attraction could leave you "dewy-eyed, submissive, and soft-hearted."  When 500 head of Baron cattle are rustled, Aaron insists that it is in his best interest to help find the culprits.  This is an enjoyable, somewhat turbulent, romance, quite telling in its descriptions of animal management.
