Paper Towns/John Green/305 pgs.

Margo Roth Spiegelman  and Quentin Jacobsen have been next door neighbors for years. Now seniors in high school, Margo and Quentin couldn't be farther apart on the social scale: Margo is the "it" girl of the senior class; she's adventurous, fun, attracts people like a magnet. Quentin ("Q" to his friends) is dependable, studious, somewhat of a nerd. Of course, he's had a crush on Margo for years. Margo seeks revenge on some of her friends when she learns her boyfriend cheated on her; she persuades Quentin to be her partner in crime. Once this operation is over, Margo disappears. This, at first, isn't alarming, because Margo has left home before--only to return with stories of her adventure. When she still hasn't shown up after some time has passed, Quentin becomes very concerned (more so than Margo's parents.) He discovers some clues that Margo has left for him, and so his journey begins. The novel is told in Quentin's voice, and gives the reader an insight into the minds of teenagers on the cusp of adulthood. It's a very good book, and one that I think would make a good book club discussion. Highly recommended!
