As a guild bartender, Tori can handle pretty much anything thrown her way, mages, sorcerers, druids, witches, the occasional demon. But anything family-related and she’d rather run for the hills. So why on earth did she agree to spend the holiday with her three best guy friends Aaron, Ezra, and Kai at Aaron family’s home, which is a giant castle that is also a school. Meeting his famous parents is already terrifying enough, but there are bigger problems. Students of Aaron’s family's renowned mage academy are being attacked on the grounds and somehow no one has seen a single assailant. Unexplained tracks litter the nearby woods, rumors of forbidden alchemy are circulating the campus, Ezra has been acting strangely since they arrived, and Aaron is falling back into his old way surrounded by the upper class elite at the school. Something deadly is brewing in the shadow of Sinclair Academy, and the longer Tori and her friends take to uncover it, the more dangerous it becomes. But no matter the risk, they’re determined to protect the students. And Aaron's parents too, If they have to. Narrated by Cris Dukehart 6h 55min.

Shadows of Salem Series, Book 2 Shadow Marked / Rebecca Hamilton & Jasmine Walt / 221 pages
Shadow Marked is a continuation of The Shadows of Salem series. Detective Brooke Chandler was deliberately being shielded from the supernatural world growing up now she is just starting to learn about the supernatural realm that no one knows exists right under their noses. As if vampires weren’t enough, now Brooke has to deal with the witch covens, ghost haunts, and Fae lords. After the death of Father James and her fiance, Tom, Brooke Chandler becomes filled with guilt. Her partner, Detective Baxter, was supposedly the brother of Father James when actually it was a ruse, fictitious memories planted by Father James to aid his wrong doings as an evil warlock who was after her magical energy, and was kidnapping and siphoning the magic energy of dozens of other supernatural creatures. It doesn’t change the fact that she had to kill Father James in self-defense or how detective Baxter felt about his ‘brother’ not knowing the crimes he committed. But the hurt in his eyes alone, as he tries endlessly to find evidence that just isn’t there…it eats away at her conscience. With the help the Fae lord, Maddock, Brooke is beginning to understand her powers and use them, the training that has long since been denied to her by her Uncle Oscar as a way of protection after her parents were murdered. Maddock gives her little quests on occasion to find four powerful artifacts, but she doesn’t quite understand what his intentions are for them yet, and with the uninvited Unseelie Fae guest visiting her apartment, requesting that Brooke now repay her debt by providing the artifacts to her instead, Brooke doesn’t know what to do. If that is not enough, the local coven, her mother had run from, has set to blackmailing her to join their coven under pretense of outing her deep dark secret to the world about what really happened to her fiance and Father James on the night of their death. Can she keep her secrets and appease all parties that want something from her, or will the end come quickly? Narrated by Angela Dawe 5h 40 min.

Sensor Series, Book 6 Darkness Wanes / Susan Illene / 534 pages
Sixth book in the Sensor series, by Susan Illene. Melena Sanders has been sentenced to time in prison in purgatory for breaking a few of the Angel’s laws. First she gave her foster daughter her blood to heal her when she contracted the plague and was dying. Second she knew about Ariel, Micah, and many other supernatural’s plan to “come out” about magic and supernaturals to the normal population. Third she knew about, helped plan and participated in breaking into purgatory to free the half Nephilim/ half sensor supernaturals that had been imprisoned there since their birth. So the fact that the Angels only gave her a three month sentence along with the other Nephilim and supernaturals that participated was a light sentence. Lucas is trying to hold things together while she is gone but he also has to deal with the sentence the angel’s pasted on him, he’s stuck in Alaska, not aloud to leave and has to teach the half Nephilim/ half sensor supernatural’s about earth, humans, and society. But as soon as Melena gets back suspicious fires are spreading in Alaska, supernaturals are being attacked and it seems that even though Melena and the supernaturals helped the Department of Homeland Security stop her father’s terrorist group of Sensors one of her brothers escaped capture. Her brother has now started a group that is recruiting normal humans to target supernaturals. This is just the beginning and if Lucas and Melena want to survive they’re going to have to work together. Narrated by: Cris Dukehart 12h 45min.
Sensor Series, Book 5 Darkness Shatters / Susan Illene / 430 pages

Her father and his sensor group of terrorists may be responsible for creating this strain of the plague that has demon magic in it that weakens supernaturals causing them to contract the disease. If that’s not enough Melena has to watch her boyfriend, Lucas suffer as he searches endlessly for his missing brother, Micah when she has been sworn to silence by a vow not to talk about his location. Micah’s helping the angel Ariel set up plans to break out the half Nephilim and half sensor supernaturals that were taken by the angels when they were born and placed in purgatory. Now it’s been awhile and Mel has been punished by the angels, she has to rehabilitate the Guardian Kerbasi that once ran one of the prisons in purgatory by teaching him humanity after the angels find out about his torturous methods of dealing with prisoners. Lucas, is an immortal Nephilim, half angel and half human, the longer a person lives the more their actions from the past can come back to haunt them in the future. When Sensors and Angels instigated a war against supernaturals, Lucas killed hundreds and thousands of humans and Sensors to protect supernaturals and finally ended the war by killing the Sensor leader. But in doing so he was punished by the Angels for his crimes, they would assign him as protection duty to young Sensors to keep them alive until their natural death, because supernaturals were still trying to hunt them down for the war. He has done this for centuries avoiding close relationships that could make his life more difficult until he met Melena. He admired her for her survivor attitude and after watching over her for so long their relationship began to change but when she almost dies to heal her he breaks one of the greatest laws set by angels, to never give humans Nephilim blood. Now the angels have taken him to purgatory to await trial for his punishment or execution, and meanwhile Mel’s has enemies that might try to come after her while he is gone and can’t protect. He'll do whatever he has to to protect her.Narrated by: Cris Dukehart 4h 33min.
Sensor Series, Book 2 Darkness Taunts / Susan Illene / 437 pages
Second book in the Sensor series. Melena used to avoid supernaturals and hide who she was like the plague. Because if supernaturals found out that she was a Sensor, someone immune to magic and could sense the supernaturals around her they would kill her because of the war between her people with the angels help against supernaturals, that did not end well for Sensors. But now her secret is out, she had gone to Alaska to save her friend and to do so ended up having to save Nicholas, a vampire under a sleep spell for 5 years and help him put down a rebellion that a witch had caused to take over his region. She hasn’t been allowed to leave Fairbanks since and is now living in one of the vampire, Nicholas's homes with her teenage charge that she took in when she found out the girl was a Sensor too. Now Lucas, the half angel Nephilim, and her nemesis has come to call in the favor she owes him. Lucas needs Mel’s help to take care of a demon possession outbreak in another town nearby. In the past Mel always hated Lucas, for killing her guardian, he was always there threatening to kill her one moment and then saving her from life and death situations the next. But after learning he was protecting her from her guardian selling her to supernaturals the dynamics of their relationship begin to change. She always felt that there was some deep connection between them and working so close to Lucas on the Demon outbreak is causing her to feel things for him she would have never admitted to in the past. Narrated by: Cris Dukehart 9h 59min.
