Charley works as a cleaner for the police department by day and then works as a professional gambler in her free time. Due to the accident from her past which ended in the death of her brother, she blames herself and doesn’t think she is special. That is until the magical apocalypse happens in Manchester. When everyone else is effected by the plague of rats, the firestorm falling from the sky, and the sudden growth of plant life, for Charley the rats avoid her, the firestorm doesn’t hit her house and the trees listen to her when tells them to stop growing. Then her roommate suddenly turns into some kind of magical creature and the government seems like it’s going to quarantine Manchester because it's the only place affected by magic. There’s also a sexy werewolf on her porch that might be able to help her roommate. She just needs to figure out these abilities so she can bring some order to the new chaotic world of a Manchester.
