Apparently, she just found out that the Magister, who is the big bad vampire in charge, is her father. Then there are also the creepy ghosts that are popping up, due to their murders, that some rogue vampires in the area are causing. On top of that it seems like the Mariposa, a vampire in charge of an area overseas, is going to make a move on the Magister’s territory, that might be why rogue vampires are in the area testing the waters, so to speak.
