The story begins when a stay at home mom (Olga) is informed by her husband that he's leaving her and their two children for another lady. At first, Olga doesn't believe him and thinks he's coming back. But as time goes on you witness her at different stages of grief. First was disbelief. She still tried to contact him and wait for him. Then came sadness where she didn't care what happened to her and all she thought about was this obsession to know what he was up to. Then anger, especially when she finds out that she knows his new younger wife. And then you see her trying to find content with her life.
I felt like this book was beautiful in the way it describes emotions. I love the author, who has many great books. Ferrante really has a way of getting the audience to connect with the main character.
