Isabella Valdez has been living off the grid her entire life. When her
grandmother disappears and is presumed dead, Isabella finds herself being
chased by two hunters who plan to do her harm. She heads for Scargill Cove
and the office of Fallon Jones and his investigation agency. Fallon has a strong
talent for spotting conspiracies and his latest target is the corrupt group known
as Night Shade. In the process of helping Isabella, deadly ancient artifacts are
unearthed that give off psi energy. There are many plots and schemes going
on--none of them good--and Fallon, with Isabella's help, makes some headway
in getting to the bad guys. Meanwhile Fallon and Isabella are falling in love.
Great escapist reading. I love Jayne Ann Krentz and she can't write them
fast enough for me!
