Newly recruited from cold cases to LAPD's Homicide Special Squad, Harry Bosch with his new partner draws a murder case that looks like an execution-style shooting, Dr. Stanley Kent has two bullet holes in the back of his head. Bosch follows his leads relentlessly in this fast paced murder mystery. He irritates LAPD brass along the way. And, is irritated by the FBI shutting him out of his own murder investigation.
