Web of Evil / J. A. Jance / 357 pages

This second in the Alison Reynolds series finds Ali treating herself to a spa day in preparations for her day in divorce court.  Helga, her attorney, assures her all will go well because her soon to be ex needs the divorce now.  He is to be married the day after the divorce.  Unfortunately, Paul is killed in a car-train accident - that is not an accident, the day before the divorce.  Ali becomes the prime suspect as Paul never changed his will and all his assets belong to Ali rather than his wife to be.  Maintaining her blog, her integrity, and her intuitively empathetic nature, Ali becomes embroiled in a multiplicity of crimes and motives.
