Blood and Shadows: A Tales of Blood and Magic Novella / Nadine Mutas / 146 pgs

The story is about the war between shadow demons and witches. When she was only 12 years old, Anjali, a witch, saved the life of a shadow demon, Thorne. Since then, Thorne has stayed in the shadows, watching over and protecting Anjali. However, Anjali discovers Thorne, which leads to the beginning of a forbidden relationship. What Anjali doesn't know is that Thorne hides a secret which would make Anjali hate the very sight of him, and probably kill him as well.

Obviously, this is a very Romeo and Juliet type story. Two star-crossed lovers, meant to hate each other merely because one is a witch and the other a demon. I give it good marks for its steaminess, but I felt like the story was so overdone and pretty boring.
