In this fourth in the Merridew sisters series, Grace has spend three seasons on the marriage mart. Now she is going to be adventurous and explore Egypt. But first she goes with her dear timid friend as she is being forced to marry Dominic Wolfe. Dominic will inherit the huge estate if he marries Melly. Sounds simple. Dominic has no intention living at the family estate. He will tear it down. He told Melly it will be a marriage in name only, he is going back to run his business. Melly wants Grace to work a miracle and get the marriage called off. Grace is in for an adventure. The estate is run down, no servants to cook food, chop wood, and make beds. As the mousy chaperone, she elected make the house habitable. And at every turn she runs into the Wolfe.
