The Girl on the Train/Paula Hawkins/323 pages

The book jacket summarizes this book perfectly.  Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night.  Every day she passes a stretch of cozy suburban homes, stopping at the signal that allows her to daily observe a couple on their deck – she even begins to feel like she knows them.  Their life – as she sees it – is perfect.  Not unlike the life she recently lost.  And then she sees something shocking.   This story is told in three voices.  At first it seems difficult to determine who is speaking and to follow the timeline.  But once I could keep the characters straight, it was intriguing.
