Nancy Drew Mystery #26
This installment of the Nancy Drew Series was published in 1949 and remains an appropriate, engaging read for the youth of today. I must admit that Nancy's father and house-keeper are not nearly as protective as I would be if one of my daughters were up to Nancy's shenanigans. She risks her life investigating a Chinese porcelain reproduction/smuggling ring and in the process discovers a legendary deposit of rare kaolin - the powder from which fine porcelain is made, and discovers a captive family. It's quite a challenge to figure out who done it as clues are presented, and to match wits with the famous girl detective.
