Hush, Hush/Laura Lippman/303 pgs.

Years ago, Melisandre Harris Dawes, left her two month old daughter to die in a locked car during a brutally hot August day. She was found not guilty due to criminal insanity, gave up all rights to her other two daughters, Alanna and Ruby. Fast forward to the present: Melisandre is back, after having commissioned a fledgling director to produce a documentary on women who kill their children during postpartum psychosis. More importantly, Melisandre wants her daughters, now teenagers, back in her life. There is murder, mystery, and mayhem--quite a good read!
