Shampoozel / Laurence Anhold / 64 pages / Fairy Tale Retelling

In this "Seriously Silly Story," we have all the elements of the original "Rapunzel", except with some rather hair-raising twists.  The father is hairdresser named Dan Druff.  The wife is a timid girl with horrid hair.  When she learns of the Bad Hair Witch's magical shampoos and conditioners she must have the secret ingredients from the witch's garden.  You know the rest of the story, but did you know the prince was as bald as a beach ball?  This is a most enjoyable experience for young readers, and older ones as well.  There are eight books in the series, all retellings of renowned fairy tales.
