Slightly Tempted / Mary Balogh 363 p.


This fourth in the Bedwyn Saga, tells the romance of the youngest Bedwyn, Lady Morgan, catches the eye of Gervase Ashford, Earl of Rosthorn, at an extravagant ball in Brussels where Morgan has accompanied her brother Alleyne.  Rosthorn holds a long standing grudge against, Lady Morgan’s eldest brother, Wulfric, and turns this into a way to extract revenge. She cools guards her heart against this rake; until their world is turned on its ear as battle casualties pour into town, Alleyne disappears, and Morgan discovers a friend in Rosthorn.  Rosthorn does the unthinkable and falls in love and desires Morgan as his wife; a state which she coolly refuses.
