Yes, this is dystopian teen lit and raises many flags about where our society could lead.  Too fat?  The Society controls everyone's nutrition.  Too many divorces? The Society matches you with the perfect mate.  Too much information and technology?  The Society controls what you see, hear and use.  Too stressed?  Take the green pill.  Too old?  Everyone kicks the bucket at age 80. All choice is removed in all aspects of everyone's life so there is just happiness.  This is the first book in the trilogy and the spirit and strength of humanity shines through.  Listened to the book on CD and enjoyed the story.
