Veronika Decides to Die/Paulo Coelho/224 pgs

One of the better books I have read in a while. This novel is about a 24 yr old woman named Veronika who tries to commit suicide. She wakes up in a mental hospital and is given the news that her heart is failing her (from the many sleeping pills she tried to take) and doesn't have that much time to live. 

Her presence in the mental hospital affects many of the patients there but also herself. She realizes she doesn't want to die anymore, especially when she starts to fall in love with a schizophrenic named Eduard.
