I really enjoyed this short novel about a young Spanish shepherd, named Santiago, who keeps having the same dream that he finds treasure. When he meets a gypsy fortune teller, she tells him his treasure is in the pyramids of Egypt. He then meets a King who encourages him to make the journey to Egypt and buys his herd.
Throughout his journey to North Africa, the boy meets many people who influence him and help him understand himself better.
It was an enjoyable read
