Summer Hours at the Robbers Library / Sue Halpern / 368 pages

I chose to read this book because it takes place at a library.  Kit is the head librarian at the public library in Riverton, New Hampshire.  Riverton is a small town with not a lot to offer.  It has seen better days.  Sunny is a fifteen year old girl who is assigned by a judge to do community service at the library for the summer when she is caught stealing a dictionary at a bookstore.  Sunny has been raised by free spirit parents who move around a lot and is home schooled.  Rusty is a Wall Street executive who is suddenly out of work and not successfully finding a new job.  He starts spending most of his days on the computer at the library when he comes to Riverton.  There is not a lot of action in this book, but there is good character development as these three characters interact.
