Saving Meghan is a suspense novel with a different slant.
Meghan is a 15 year old girl who recently went from being a healthy
and active soccer player to being a sickly and lethargic teenager with
headaches, stomach pains and blurred vision who cannot concentrate
and is rarely well enough to attend school.
Mother Becky and father Carl have had Meghan to every doctor
available and no one can find anything wrong with Meghan! Finally, the
doctors suspect Munchausen by proxy, believing Becky is intentionally
making Meghan ill and the parents lose custody of their daughter.
Can you imagine this mother's state of mind? Convinced her daughter
could be dying and unable to see her, help her, handle her care? Legal
battles bloom and suddenly someone dies! Meanwhile, Carl is beginning to think the doctor's could be right and Becky is struggling to come up with a plan (legal or not) for saving Meghan.
