Color of Love/Sala, Sharon/312 pages

The Color of Love (Blessings, Georgia Book 5)
Sharon Sala has written several novels set in Blessings, Georgia, where she reuses many of the characters.  In Color of Love, Ruby Dye (owner and operator of the local beauty parlor) is in a good place in her life.  She has wonderful friends, loyal neighbors, co-workers that are more like family and a secret admirer!  Only pages into the story her life gets turned upside down when her ex robs her, beats her up and kidnaps her--and the town rallies around her and all turns out well but just chapters down the road we have her violent brother-in-law show up to even the score.  Meanwhile the other members of the town have trials going on in their lives, too, but they are dealing with it sometimes all alone but often with help from their friends and the residents of Blessing.  Our story is heading for the end when Ruby's secret admirer wakes up with amnesia and does not remember her.  Never fear!  This story has so many bumps and pit falls for all of the characters but somehow it comes off believable and there are happy endings all around.
