Roadside Crosses/Jeffrey Deaver/548 pgs

For Jeffrey Deaver fans, this is the 3rd Kathryn Dance novel.  Dance is an investigator with the California Bureau of Investigation or CBI.  The story begins with a roadside cross bearing a date in the future, not a past date.  In fact, the cross is dated the next day.  On the same day noted on the cross, a vehicle is found nearly submerged on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and there is a young woman tied up in the trunk.

The crosses continue to appear and Investigator Dance finds an apparent link to them.  It seems that a blog with a controversial topic thread may be the link.  Every victim of the roadside crosses has commented on the blog.  The blog points to a young man who Dance tracks down to interview.  Not having enough evidence at that time to arrest him, she is forced to leave his house to investigate further.  But, soon the young man disappears and she realizes he may also be a victim.

A great murder mystery worth reading, especially if you are a Kathryn Dance fan.
