Fabulous Bouvier Sisters/Sam Kashner/318 pages

Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Lee Radziwell were sisters born three
years apart into a wealthy and privileged family.  Their early life was not
ideal because of their parent's divorce but they loved their father deeply
and had wonderful early memories that no doubt helped to shape them into the great people they became.  What is surprising is how two girls--later women--who were blessed with so much in the way of love, family, education, and cultural experiences could still have room in their lives to be jealous of their sister because she had something different.  (Both women were guilty of this jealousy but it seems Lee found the most lacking in her life.)  This pair rubbed elbows with the most interesting people of their time.  They traveled to fascinating places and had really cool projects that they worked on--but always seemed to feel that something was missing from their lives when compared to their sister's.
This was at times a very sad but definitely fascinating read!
