Song of the West/ Nora Roberts/ 170 pages

This romance, set in Wyoming, features twins.  Sabrina is the happily married sister who is going to have a baby.  Samantha is the single sister who quits her job as a PE teacher to help her sister through a difficult pregnancy.  Of course, Samantha is beautiful, a former Olympic gymnist, and not sure that she likes Jake Tanner the (of course) rich rancher with the ajoining ranch.  As a romance, it was fairly predictable.  As far as Nora Roberts, it was tame.  Usually the book gets pretty steamy right about half-way.  This book was from 1982 and must be her early work.  The hero, Jake, is predatory and doesn't know how to take "No" for an answer.  I did not think that his aggressive belief in his own advances on her made him a better character.  I thought that it overshadowed his better side.  Today, he would not be considered appropriate at all.
