Hell's Corner / David Baldacci / pages / Oct., Nov., Challenge Scary

"In the shadowy world of politics and intelligence, there is no one you can really trust."  Oliver Stone has learned this lesson well.  His country betrayed him despite heroic sacrifices on his behalf on missions assigned him by that same country.  Although his previous identity as John Carr has been laid to rest, it is resurrected for this latest mission.  The president himself has asked Stone to investigate Russian/Mexican drug cartels.  The mission is radically altered when a bomb is detonated in Lafayette Park, directly across from the White House, an apparent terrorist attack targeting the President and the British Prime Minister.  Stone teams up with British MI-6 agent Mary Chapman and his old buddies in the Camel Club to ferret out the perpetrators.
