Bones of the Lost/Kathy Reichs/324 pgs.

In examining the body of a young girl, the victim of a hit-and-run accident, forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan fears foul play was involved. No one knows the young girl's name, and to add to the mystery, a deceased prominent businessman's business card is found in her purse. In addition to these events, Tempe is asked to examine a bundle of Peruvian dog mummies--mummies that had been confiscated by U.S. customs. How these two occurrences are related make for an intriguing story and conclusion. This series keeps getting better and better!
