Sunny Randall teams up with her cop father, Phil Randall, to investigate a serial killer. The call him The Spare Change Killer because he always leaves coins near the body. The body has been dispatched with a single shot. Phil had investigated the crimes twenty years ago with little success. After a twenty year hiatus, the killing has resumed. Narrowing the list of suspects, Sunny is sure she had identified the perp. She just needs proof... Sunny's ongoing relationship with Richie, their joint custody of Rosie (the dog), her sessions with Susan, and her friendship with Spike add character and depth to an intriguing mystery.
