Today we have over one hundred books in the series written by a variety of authors who have faithfully mimicked Ms. Warner's characters and themes. In this one we have the makings for a wonderful summer. The four siblings are given an island by their grandfather Alden...and the island is full of surprises...from the mysterious Joe character...to Indian relics...to the resourcefulness of the children. This series is a must have for all elementary libraries...an enjoyable, inspiring read!!
