Officer Jones / Derek Ciccone / 364 pages

"In the state of Washington alone, over one half the traffic fatalities were alcohol related.  Twenty thousand Americans die each year from drunk drivers."  Officer Jones - not his real name, has decided to take the law into his own hands.  He is determined to remove drunk drivers and the threat they pose to life and property from America's roadways.  Unfortunately, he does this outside the law, falsifying evidence.  Is he, in fact, a vigilante serial killer?  J. P. Warner, and international hot dog reporter, has returned home to recuperate from a kidnapping/hostage situation in which one man on his team was killed and one of his friends paralyzed.  He was once in love with Gwen Delaney, his hometown sweetheart, but his career and egotism derailed their relationship.  Gwen has returned home to run the town newspaper.  Together they work to reveal Batman/Officer Jones as the serial killer he is.
