Truth Be Told / Hank Phillippi / 400 pages

Hank Phillippi Ryan amazes me!  She has won thirty Emmys and ten Edward R. Murrow Awards for her groundbreaking journalism as an investigative reporter for Boston's NBC affiliate.  She has also won two Agatha Awards, as well as the Anthony, Macavity, and Mary Higgins Clark Awards for her writing.  In Truth Be Told, investigative reporter Jane Ryland is making the painful transition from TV to print /online journalism.  Walking a fine line in her relationship with Boston police detective Jake Brogan, she is drawn into the investigation of a twenty year old case in which the murderer recently confessed.  Concurrently, a new murder has occurred in one of the foreclosed houses she was focusing on for an article for the newspaper.  As always, Ms. Ryan has crafted a edge-of-your-seat thriller with multiple twists, turns, and surprises.
