Scar Boys / Len Vlahos / 237 p.

Already feeling a bit of an outsider, Harry was severely burned as a child as a result of bullying on the part of neighborhood boys. His disfigurement does not make life as a teenager easy either.  But when Harry is befriended by Johnny, things turn around.  It gets even better when they decide to form a band--The Scar Boys. Harry goes from hiding as much as possible to taking control of his own destiny.  I liked the use of song titles for chapter headings.  As usual and even knowing swear words are a part of teenage culture, I always cringe a bit at their use in YA novels.  For the most part, though, the usage fit the situation.
