Laura Ingalls Wilder / Emma Carlson /berne / 112 pages / Dead Author Challenge

This is the second biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder that I have read recently and I found much to recommend it.  Excellent background chronologies and lists of pertinent facts, as well as significant personal facts...such as inclusion of Laura's height (5") and the nicknames Laura and Almanzo had for each other (Bess and Manly, made this particular rendering noteworthy.  Many pages had historical sidebars which greatly fleshed out the period, but proved to be somewhat distracting and interrupted the flow of the reading.
