Jane Eyre / Charlotte Bronte / 328 pages

The first ten chapters of this book failed to get my interest, but it did get better after that.  I know this book is a favorite for many, but I didn't like Jane much, so I can't count this book among my favorites.  I felt some sympathy for Jane's treatment at the hands of her aunt and cousins, and then the boarding school she was sent to, but Jane didn't have the pleasing personality to help her situation much.  The most exciting part of the book - where Jane finds out about and confronts the monster in Mr. Rochester's closet - was rather anticlimactic.
