Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore / Robin Sloan / 288 pages

Oh, what an intriguing read.  Here we have an amazing 24 hour bookstore that loans books to strange people who try to decipher the books in order to find the key to immortality.  Enter an out-of-work techie who decides to use his friends in the tech world (both shady & legit) to solve the mystery using the power of computers.  If Google can't do it, then no one can.  The whole meshing of the print world with the Google world is mind-boggling and the lesson in the end was as things change, things remain the same.  At least that's what I got...I'm sure a book club would come up with lots of insightful comments.  There are so many interesting elements that you will never be bored...be sure to check out that storage facility for museum artifacts in Vegas.  Read it and let me know what you think!
