Breaking Point / C. J. Box / 367 pages

Joe Pickett's wife Marybeth works at the Twelve Sleep County Library, and often is instrumental in helping with cases through research and keen thinking.  This is just one of many reasons I love Box's Joe Pickett books.  I read this one in a single sitting.  (Hope you didn't call, because I sure wasn't going to answer the phone.)  Joe fights an evil bureaucrat and a too powerful federal government in Breaking Point.  Set in the wilds of Wyoming, the book sees Joe reach his,  breaking point, that is.  A brief appearance by Nat Romanowski, Joe's on-the-run friend, ties in nicely with the other Pickett novels but is superfluous to this one.  Box is a must read...totally awesome!!
