Malcolm and his best friend, Daniel Dee (Dandy, who frequently picks his nose by the way) are not like other ten year olds. They are scientists. Malcolm would rather tease his older sister, Cocoa (He calls her coconut.), experiment in his lab, and read his science magazines than play sports. Dandy loves being his apprentice and go to man. When Malcolm comes across an advertisement for an Ecto-Handheld-Automatic-Heat-Sensitive-Laser-Enhanced Specter Detector and orders it, he and Dandy become serious ghost hunters.
