Against my better judgment I decided to read the second book in the Graceling series. First, this is not a sequel, it's a companion to Graceling. Second, it's not any better. I think my problem is that the writing seems juvenile compared to other YA series like Divergent or Hunger Games. I will say that the plot here was better.
