In a future Chicago, sixteen-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomoly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all.I will never say that this book is Better than "The Hunger Games", but I will say it is a great read. It has plenty of action, little romance, a great strong female lead, and throws in some poignant social issues to chew on. It was also an added bonus that the book is set in Chicago and the author throws in famous landmarks to identify where the characters are at and how the world has been destroyed and decayed by that point.
This book will make a great recommendation for the teen that LOVED the Hunger Games and wants something good to keep on that high feeling you get from reading a great book! I am also on the list for the sequal "Insurgent" coming out May 1st, and I can't wait!
