In the case of Superstition Mountain, ignorance might be better."  Simon (11), Henry (10), and Jack (5) search for their runaway cat, Josie, on Superstition Mountain and become lost themselves.  They are cautioned by their parents and a local police officer to stay away from the mountain.  It is a dangerous place.  At the library, with fifth grade neighbor, Delilah, they discover that over 20 people have disappeared or met violent deaths, including decapitation, since 1880 on the mountain.  The boys, recently moved from Chicago into their local legend Uncle Hank's house in Arizona, encounter 3 skulls while lost on the mountain.  The 4 kids determine to retrieve the skulls and solve the mystery of Superstition Mountain.  Great read!!
