After the murder of their father, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode Locke relocate with their mother to the family estate of Keyhouse, located in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. The house is very creepy with many doors. Bode, the youngest of the family, finds a door, which separates his spirit from his body. Sam Lesser, one of the teens who murdered Mr. Locke, is in a juvenile detention center and, by gazing in water, communicates with a supernatural force that promises to free him. This horror comic is written by Joe Hill who is the son of Stephen King. It does depict some acts of violence with lots of blood. Nothing is exaggerated, but putting the violence in a realistic context does land this graphic novel a place on the Adult bookshelf instead of YA.
