Elena Estes has an interesting past and horrifying present.  An ex narcotics detective with a renowned, if unscrupulous, lawyer father, she has abandoned her wealthy, adoptive lifestyle to train horses for the Palm Beach Polo set.  The much too affluent playboys have decadent parties, abuse young girls, and alibi each other to escape prosecution.  When Elena discovers the body of a fellow trainer deceased and half consumed by a crocodile, she is compelled to investigate.
