Stranger in Paradise / Robert B. Parker / 293 pages

Wilson "Crow" Cromartie has returned to Paradise, Massachusetts.  He was last seen racing away in a speedboat with ten million dollars in cash.  He did rescue several hostages, so perhaps some considered him a modern Robin Hood.  He prefers to think of himself as an Apache warrior.  He was sent this time to Paradise to find a mother and daughter wanted by a Florida drug lord.  After he locates them, Crow refuses to eliminate the mother and abduct the daughter.  He has his principles after all.  The Latino gang the Amber has been hanging with, controversy over a historic dwelling being converted into a  school for the disadvantaged, and Jess Stone's relationship add breadth and depth to this action packed narrative.
